OUR VISION
The major challenge facing the industry of private investments in infrastructure in Africa is the long duration of the projects’ development cycle which requires involvement of long-term investors and developers at a very early stage in order to structure bankable projects.
Our model is based on sector diversification, exposure to different development stages, and hands-on approach in term of project development and structuring, relying on an experienced and stable Management Team capable of creating value, including build-up opportunities, implementation of the best standards in terms of corporate governance, reporting to shareholders, environmental and social policies.
Our environmental and social policy is aligned with the best practices. Each investment project is submitted to a gap analysis with regards to the E&S performance standards IFC (World Bank Group) and others partners of the Fund, and corrective actions are implemented (before or during the investment as the case may be). The assessment of the social and environmental impact is performed before investment. Any targeted project shall have a positive net impact. The negative impacts shall be mitigated through an Environmental and Social Action Plan. The mitigation measures are incorporated with the aim to enhance the investee companies to the highest international ES performance standards.
Our Governance Policy aims to protect the interests of minority shareholders. An adequate contractual structure of governance is adopted and implemented at the level of each investee company. Infra Invest acts actively at the level of governance bodies (Board, Audit and Risks Committees, etc.), and rigorous reporting are made to the investment committee and to Investors.
